World's Highest Electricity Pylon Build by China

HANGZHOU, Oct 3 (APP/Xinhua): Construction recently started on a giant electricity source pylon, considered to be the world's greatest, in east China's Zhejiang Province, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Company declared Tuesday.

The pylon will transmit electricity cables between Zhoushan's Jintang and Cezi islands, a space of 2,656 meters, the electricity company's Zhoushan division said in the statement.

It's going to break the world record for the greatest electricity pylon now maintained by China's Damaoshan pylon that stands in 370 meters, and in Zhoushan.  The new pylon is a portion of a brand new ultra-high voltage electricity lineup between cities of Zhoushan and Ningbo.  The job is expected to completed by the end of 2018, and will be placed to use in 2019.  Enditem
